[Hopewell, VA] – On December 11, 2016 at approximately 9:39 p.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 3301 Oaklawn Boulevard for an armed robbery that had just occurred. The preliminary investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the store clerks. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, the offender then fled the business on foot. No persons were harmed during the incident.
The offender is described as a B/M, 25-30 YOA, 5’7”-5’8” with a medium build, a mustache and beard, last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket with white/black bands on the sleeves/wrists, dark in color Adidas jogging/sweat pants and black in color shoes. The offender also had a distinctive tattoo located right between his eyes and was in possession of a dark in color handgun.
